RakeRadar.com Editorial Guidelines – content standards, verification, affiliation, responsible gambling and writing style

Editorial Guidelines – RakeRadar.com

This page describes how we create content on RakeRadar.com: what our priorities are, how we verify information, how we approach affiliation, what our language standards are, and how we protect readers from common industry pitfalls. Simply put: these are our rules of the game.

Important: RakeRadar.com is an informational service. We do not organise gambling or betting. The service is not directed at users located in restricted markets. Details: Terms of Use.

1. Editorial mission: clarity, honesty and reader protection

Our goal is to deliver content that helps readers make more informed decisions. In practice, this means:

We focus on transparency of payouts, bonus terms, KYC and the real “friction” of using platforms. We are not interested in creating texts that merely sound nice. We care about what works in a user’s real life.

2. What we publish (and what we don’t publish)

We publish

  • casino and bookmaker reviews, rankings and comparisons
  • payment guides (BLIK, Skrill, PaysafeCard, crypto)
  • educational materials about bonuses and terms (wagering, max cashout, bet limits)
  • guides on mobile UX and hands-on testing
  • responsible gambling content
  • updates and corrections when something changes

We don’t publish

  • legal advice (nor instructions on circumventing the law, blocks, or geoblocks)
  • instructions on bypassing KYC, AML, verification, or operator security procedures
  • promises of “guaranteed wins”, “casino systems”, and money-making narratives
  • content that cannot be sensibly sourced or verified

3. Information verification standard (fact-checking)

The industry changes quickly: bonuses disappear, limits shift, payment methods appear and disappear. That is why we use a “verification + update date” model.

We verify information based on:

  • operators’ terms and conditions and information pages (T&C, bonus terms, banking, KYC)
  • operator communications and official materials (if available)
  • UX/user journey tests (navigation, cashier, visibility of rules)
  • system behavior (what is visible in the user panel, how withdrawals are described)

If we are not certain, we use cautious language (“may”, “usually”, “depends on the operator”) instead of pretending we know. We prefer fewer promises and more real usefulness.

4. How we rate operators (in brief)

The most important criterion is real predictability: withdrawals, transparency of rules, and no surprises during KYC. You can find the detailed methodology here: How we rate bookmakers and casinos (or in your URL structure – replace the link with the correct one).

In reviews and rankings, we reward:

  • clear cashout rules and clear withdrawal limits
  • transparent bonus terms (wagering, max cashout, stake limit)
  • a sensible cashier and mobile convenience
  • support that gives specific answers

5. Affiliation and conflict of interest – how we handle it

Yes: The site may contain affiliate links. We may receive compensation if a user clicks through a link and performs certain actions with an operator. Maintaining the editorial team and infrastructure costs money – this is transparent.

At the same time, we have rules that limit conflicts of interest:

  • we do not promise results, nor do we “guarantee” payouts or wins
  • we describe operators’ risks and drawbacks, even when it is not convenient from a marketing perspective
  • we treat bonus and payout terms as a priority (Cashout > Marketing)
  • we always refer to operators’ terms and conditions as the binding source

More about tracking and clicks: Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

6. Style and language: how we write

We favor simple, concrete, “human” language. We avoid corporate clichés and inflated PR. We also do not want vulgarity or aggression “for effect”. It should be expressive, but factual.

Our style standards:

  • short paragraphs, one topic per paragraph
  • concrete information instead of fluff
  • explanations of terms (wagering, KYC, RTP) in plain language
  • fewer promises, more practical steps
  • examples and scenarios such as “what happens if…”

7. SEO rules (no spam)

SEO should help users find content, not spoil it. That is why we optimize for user intent, not for mechanical keyword stuffing. Priorities:

  • clear H1/H2/H3, logical structure
  • answers to user questions (FAQ + FAQ schema)
  • internal linking to related pages (payments, bonuses, payouts, mobile)
  • content updates when the market changes

We avoid “keyword stuffing”. If a phrase does not fit naturally, we do not force it.

8. Responsible gambling – mandatory context

In gambling-related content, we highlight the risks and promote a responsible approach. If this topic affects you or someone close to you, start here: Responsible gambling.

We do not publish content that encourages uncontrolled gambling, chasing losses, “recouping”, or treating gambling as a way to make money.

9. Updates, corrections and the right to rectification

If you notice an error or outdated information, you can report it. We update content where possible, especially in the following areas: bonuses, payments, KYC and withdrawals.

Contact: Contact or email: [email protected].

10. Comments and user-generated content (if available)

If comments are available on the Site, we moderate content for spam, abuse and illegal content. Do not publish sensitive data or casino/bookmaker account details. If you want to report an issue with an operator, do so in general terms or by email.

11. Ethical principles and “what is a red flag for us”

In the gambling industry, abuse and manipulation are common. That is why we have a list of red flags in content and with operators. “Red flags” include, among others, unclear withdrawal terms, hidden limits, aggressive marketing practices and lack of transparency in bonus terms.

If something looks suspicious, we do not pretend that “everything is fine”. That is what a review is for.

FAQ – editorial guidelines

Does RakeRadar.com publish sponsored content?

We may cooperate as affiliates and publish commercial content, but transparency and usefulness for the reader are the priority. We do not promise wins nor hide risks (bonuses, wagering, withdrawals, KYC).

How do you know that information about bonuses or payments is up-to-date?

We verify them in operators’ terms and conditions and update content when we detect changes or receive a reliable report. The market changes rapidly, so we encourage you to check the conditions directly with the operator before making a deposit.

Do you provide legal advice?

No. The service is informational and does not constitute legal advice. The user is responsible for compliance with the law in their jurisdiction.

Do affiliate links affect the casino rating?

The rating is based on practical criteria such as withdrawals, transparency of rules, KYC, payments, UX, and support. Affiliate links may exist but are not a “guarantee of quality”.

How to report an error in the content?

Send a link to the subpage and a brief description of the error to [email protected] or use the Contact page. If you have screenshots or sources, attach them – this speeds up the update.
